Born to Colonel James Pugh and Glenn Lois Wilkins
Youngest of 7 siblings, in ascending order are Jennifer Lee, Lois Ellen, Carol Ann, Glenda Ruth, Jerry O'steen and James Donald.
All siblings as of 09/07/11 are still alive except Carol Ann who passed at the age of 22. Parents deceased. My question is are you still human after you die? You were human when alive. I think you are no longer human but something divine. We will all find out in due time I reckon. But at the very least we are all star dust from whence we came.
Earliest memory is walking with father to church in Springfield, Mo. and stopping at candy store and getting peanut butter hard candy.
My upbringing:
Mother was a dedicated homemaker and wife to the colonel.
The Colonel was, upon retirement from the military, a hospital administrator at Skaggs hospital in Branson, Mo. Sale Memorial hospital in Neosho, Mo. and ended up as an administrator at Kings Highway Hospital in St. Louis, Mo where he passed. He played golf on Sunday the last day of his life in St Louis when a massive heart attack took him. He was also a presidential advisor to Presidents Eisenhower, Kennedy, and Johnson.
He occasionally would be gone from home and little at my young age did I know he was called to Washington. Most tense time at home was the Cuban missile crisis.
Oldest brother James Donald was an administrator for the National Science Foundation until retirement. His next door neighbor in Bethesda Md. was Henry the White House greeter at the time I met him.
Next oldest brother is Jerry who was a sharp shooter in the U.S. Army Rangers and has devoted his life to Christian ministry ever since. Jerry at a young age went tracking a bobcat and heard something, spun around and shot the bobcat right between the eyes as it was pouncing on him from a tree limb above and behind him.
Next oldest sister is Glenda Ruth who was a cytologist before retiring and always a devoted Christian believer. If there was ever a person on earth who never had a mean bone it is her.
Carol Ann was a marine when an auto accident took her. She was an original street singer at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Mo. She sang solos in the Methodist church and when Barbra Streisand hit the scene, many people were calling the house asking if it was Ann as they looked much alike. I often pray to Ann for my musical prowess as I was often in her wings when she was rehearsing.
Dr. Lois Wilkins' practise is quite successful and she is the spear head of the second wave of Wilkins sibs and often called upon for her unwavering support. A one of a kind person.
Jenny and I were very close growing up and still are. She could've been a movie star as she has a magnetic personality as many can attest. She is doing well and is enjoying the music scene in her own sense.
I am married to Allison Ann (Atkins) Wilkins
I have 4 children from a previous marriage: Troy Scott, Traci Lynn, Thomas Wayne and Tristan Eugene. Rhonda, their mother, has passed.
I would play golf every day.
